Rice Paper Beef Rolls
This was my first experience with rice paper and boy, was it a really nice one.
Didn't expect it to be so easy to work with.
All you have to do is soak the sheet in water for 2 seconds (yes, just t-w-o seconds!) and then take it out. It will become really flexible as it dries and then you can make your rolls.
This is a very basic and simple recipe, as it was my first time experimenting with rice paper.
It can be easily upgraded by adding scallions and other veggies to the mixture.
Ingredients:
300 g Beef - Sirloin or fillet, cut into thin strips
1 Onion - diced
1 Pack of Rice Paper
1/2 cup frozen Corn
100 g Lettuce - diced
Soy Sauce
5 spoons Teriyaki sauce
3 spoons Orange Juice
Black Pepper

Start with cooking diced onions and the beef in a pan over medium heat for 3 minutes.
Add corn and keep cooking for a few minutes.
Turn the heat off and add the lettuce.
Season with soy sauce and pepper.
Set aside.

Dip the rice paper sheets in water for 2 seconds each and set aside on a dry plate.
Place the beef mixture in the bottom third of the sheet.
Fold the sheet a little from the sides and then fold and roll from the bottom up until you have a nice roll.

Mix the teriyaki and orange juice in a shaker.
Spill it into a plate to get a nice puddle of sauce.
Place your rolls in the puddle and turn them around a few times to soak up the sauce.
